The North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) is a bustling business community and enterprise agency, offering a wide range of support services for businesses of all shapes and sizes. Highlighting the need to continually invest in innovation, the scheme is designed to unlock innovation in the business community and offers North East companies guidance and essential access to financial support in order to gain a competitive edge in their working field.

The North East SME innovation team is able to provide expert advice and support to help businesses take their ideas forward and can help firms to secure up to 40 percent project funding to help them realise their ambitions; which could ultimately result in businesses being more competitive or even experiencing a growth in profits.

To date the scheme has assisted companies the length and breadth of the region operating in sectors including renewable energy, manufacturing, environmental, cosmetics, software and digital.
