Business Durham

Business Durham is the economic development arm of Durham County Council, set up to enable growth, create jobs and improve lives in County Durham.

Business Durham attracts capital and inward investment to the county, building long-term relationships to foster sustainable growth in businesses. There is huge investment currently taking place across County Durham, including in Durham City and at key strategic employment sites.

Business Durham connects businesses with the funding, premises, advice, and specialist support they need to grow and thrive.  It manages a portfolio of business property, including commercial office space, industrial property units and the North East’s premier science, engineering and technology park, NETPark.

Business Durham also supports ambitious entrepreneurs with the vision to start and scale up their business in Durham through the Durham City Incubator (DCI), working closely with its partners, Durham University (a World Top 100 university) and New College Durham.
