FAQs
Who attends VentureFest North East?
VentureFest North East is a cross-sector two day event, meaning that we welcome anyone from any sector and businesses of all sizes, whether they’re well-established or a start-up. The reason for a cross-sector event is we believe that North East businesses have a lot to learn from each other. Day one is all about sharing business stories, whether it’s successes, failings or simple advice, regardless of sector. Day two gives businesses the chance to hone their knowledge and build relationships with peers and potential new collaborators.
Do I need to attend both days?
We understand that for busy entrepreneurs, particularly start-ups, dedicating a whole day has to be worth the time out of the office. That’s why we listen to our audience year-on-year to make sure we have a day jam-packed with inspirational speakers, practical workshops and engaging challenges, so that there’s something for everyone. You don’t need to stay for the whole day, but we wouldn’t want you missing out on the opportunity to meet some of the region’s leading businesses. On day two you can pick which sessions will benefit your business the most.
Can I guarantee that someone from my sector will be at VentureFest North East?
Whilst we can’t guarantee there’ll be someone from every subsector imaginable, we invite people from our 5,000-strong cross-sector network to join us at VentureFest North East, so there’s a good chance you’ll meet someone with a shared interest or opportunity.
How much time is there for networking?
VentureFest North East is all about encouraging networking amongst North East businesses. We know how important it is to make new connections, so we have over 50 exhibitors there on the day as well as plenty of breaks and opportunities in workshops and challenges to meet and connect with new people. On day two there will be networking opportunities throughout the day.
