What's the offer?

The programme will define challenges that are a priority for our region and invite small and medium-sized enterprises based in the North of Tyne to respond with an idea for a solution.

Successful ideas will receive up to £5000 in prototype funding to develop impactful ideas and take part in a co-design programme to rapidly develop and test solutions with end-users and potential customers.

• Challenge 1: Supporting people at home, work and play in later life
• Challenge 2: Delivering energy efficient, low carbon homes

Challenge North of Tyne is funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authority’s Innovation Recovery Programme, a £10million fund designed to help restart the area’s economy through projects that are innovative, create jobs and support businesses to diversify, plan for the future and access new markets.
