Interim Communications Manager (temporary staff panel)
Based in Sunderland and working in the North East of England
January and February 2018
£300 per day (Project Manager level)
Innovate NE is the not-for-profit company that delivers the high profile Innovation SuperNetwork, VentureFest, FinanceCamp and Innovation Challenge programmes in North East England. Bringing together over 50 partner organisations, ranging from national government to small businesses, our programmes are right in the public eye and connect over 1000 innovators, investors, researchers and experts every year.
2018 is going to be a busy and exciting year for the Innovation SuperNetwork and we will be looking to launch our programme of events in January and February 2018. Our full time Communications Manager will start in February 2018 so we are looking for an experienced individual to help us with the following communication activities in the interim:
- The launch of FinanceCamp 2018
- The launch of VentureFest 2018
- The management of the PR and communication activities for Entrepreneurs of the North 2018
- The management of the project’s websites including updates and new content development
Working alongside the events team and our marketing officer, the right person for this role will need to have an understanding of all relevant PR and communication channels with a particular emphasis on stakeholder engagement activities. You will be able to hit the ground running in early January and to bring a proven ability to lead communications strategies and activities in similar contexts. This role is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund. You will be appointed to a temporary staff panel. Staff needs are identified for particular events or Innovation SuperNetwork activities and members of the panel will be chosen according to the best fit for a particular event or activity in terms or role, experience and capacity.
