    Speaker biographies:

    Victoria Christie
    Intellectual Property and Contracts Manager
    Academic Health Science Network – NENC
    After attaining an MPhil in Applied Physics, Victoria spent a number of years working as a patent attorney in the North West, London and the North East. Victoria then spent around ten years working as an Intellectual Property Manager for NHS Innovations North. 2016 saw her move to the AHSN NENC as an Intellectual Property and Contracts Manager, where her role focusses upon the provision of intellectual property assistance to Member Organisations and SMEs, as well as the management of legal contracts. Victoria has extensive experience in the identification and protection of intellectual property and advising clients on the patenting process.

    Andrew Turner
    Quality Hospital Solutions
    Andrew has worked with some of the largest institutions and businesses in the UK, including the NHS, simplifying processes that have saved millions of pounds and substantial amounts of time. He has won several awards for many of the concepts, and many inventions have made it into production on a large scale where he has also played a vital role in taking the products through to sale.

  • Design Thinking Bootcamp – Automation

    It can be difficult knowing where to start with automation; which process do you begin with? Should everything be automated? And what to do you do if the process isn’t effective in the first place?

    Throughout this bootcamp, Dynamo North East, Accenture and CGI will help you learn how to answer these questions, recognise your individual process problems, identify where automation can be effective, create process workflows, and ultimately understand what data to include in a business case for internal investment and how to evaluate the outcomes.
