Challenge North Tyne Launch Event: Supporting people at home, work and play in later life

A light lunch will be served from 12:30 – arrive early to start for 1pm!

Are you or your organisation up for the challenge to enable elder citizens to live happier, more connected lives? Do you want to explore better ways of supporting older people at home, work and play?

If you are a North of Tyne based business and have ideas that might help meet the needs of older customers and service users, come along and learn about the support and funding available to advance your future projects.

Join us for the launch of our dedicated Challenge North Tyne Innovation Mission, seeking to engage with business leaders to tackle key priorities for the region surrounding healthy, happy ageing.  This initiative will focus innovation efforts by bringing together key regional partners, such as the National Innovation Centre for Ageing, local government, large corporates and community groups, to collaborate to create solutions with real impact.

Prototype funding to the value of £5,000 and a dedicated accelerator programme is available to small and medium sized businesses operating in North of Tyne. This programme aims to harness the inventive ability of our region and combine it with funding and cross sector co-design opportunities to rapidly develop and test solutions for market.

The event will be attended by leading organisations from the region to present the challenge and take part in networking opportunities.
