This year’s winner of our Social Enterprise Award at the North East Innovation Awards aims to help people affect changes that improve their lives and they are always finding new ways to harness the power of digital to do this.
Digital Voice was established as a CIC in 2007 and has worked with over 6000 disadvantaged people and over 150 partners. It has an excellent reputation across the North East for co-producing high quality projects which make a difference in society as well as building our learners’ self-esteem and self-confidence.
DigitalMe is Digital Voice’s award-winning programme which focuses on giving a voice to people who might otherwise struggle to be heard. It uses a range of digital and traditional storytelling techniques, photography and animation to enable people to communicate their message with maximum impact while protecting the identity of the participants.
