Thank you for registering to attend day one of VentureFest North East on Wednesday 10th May 2023 at Boiler Shop, Newcastle. We hope you enjoy a day of fantastic speakers, exhibition, awards and networking!
Cutting-edge exhibitors
Together with our partners at the North East BIC‘s Innovation Programme, we have searched the region to uncover the businesses behind ground-breaking products and services across Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and Durham. All 11 businesses have a stand in the Innovation Showcase, to display their innovations – so be sure to visit them and vote for your favourite via Slido, using the code #VFNE23. The winner will be announced as part of the North East Innovation Awards.
Celebration time
The North East Innovation Awards in partnership with Catax – A Ryan Company, celebrate the diverse range of innovation happening across the region and this year we expanded our search across nine categories. Winners will be crowned in the final session of the day from 3.15pm – 4.15pm.
Thinking Ambitious Session
If you are registered for the Thinking Ambitious session upstairs on the Mezzanine from 1pm – 2.30pm, please make your way upstairs promptly for 1pm. Please note that if you have not registered for this session, please ask a member of the Innovation SuperNetwork team at the bottom of the stairs if there is a place for you and we will try to accommodate you.

Lunch and refreshments
Lunch will be served between 12.15 – 13:00 and we have catered for all registered dietary requirements. There will be scheduled tea and coffee breaks throughout the day.
Name Badges
Please note: we are introducing a sustainable badge approach this year to support VentureFest’s theme and printing limited badges on demand at the venue.
Say Cheese!
Our professional photographer and videographer will be on hand throughout the day capturing the event. Imagery and footage will be used to promote future innovation projects. Members of the media may also be in attendance to carry out interviews and record segments of the day. Please don’t be shy if you are approached for comments or pictures.

VentureFest Day Two
Following a packed day of inspirational keynotes and networking on day one hone your knowledge and build your relationships with peers and potential new collaborators on VentureFest day two, taking place at The Common Room in Newcastle.
The programme is packed with insightful workshops designed to help you take your business further. From a deep dive into systems change and the opportunity to delve into the data that makes one of the region’s biggest organisations tick – you can expand your innovation toolkit with a range of new skills.
