What is design thinking and how can it help your business grow?
04 September 2020
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that’s swept the world, businesses are being forced to innovate and pivot more than ever before. In order to survive, entrepreneurs and organisations are needing to develop new strategies, reinvent and produce new solutions. Design thinking can help businesses do just that.
Our Innovation Manager, Graeme Miller, talked to Dr Stuart English, an Associate Professor in Design and the lead academic on Northumbria University’s Design Management MA, about design thinking and design driven innovation.
They discuss how this mindset is one of the best-placed mindsets to help adapt to the issues businesses face as a result of COVID-19 as it creates the space and opportunity to reconfigure and reinterpret complex situations.
Design thinking could play a critical role in helping entrepreneurial businesses cope in the current climate.
Stuart explores how this business mindset could hold the key to business growth during Coronavirus in this article written for Startups Magazine. However, in this interview, Stuart and Graeme discuss in detail what design thinking is and how it can help businesses in a variety of situations.
