Sign-up to FinanceCamp Pre-events to Guarantee Place at this Summer’s Main Event
Businesses from across the region interested in attending FinanceCamp are being urged to sign-up to attend one of five pre-events training sessions to guarantee their place this summer.
The pre-event training sessions are set to take place on 21 March in Newton Aycliffe; 22 March in Berwick; 15 May in Sunderland; 16 May in Consett; and 14 June in Gateshead.
These short workshops will help businesses understand what investors are looking for and ensure they are fully prepared for their meetings with investors on the day of FinanceCamp.
FinanceCamp North East 2018 is set to launch in the coming weeks with a date and venue to be announced soon.
The popular annual event provides a unique opportunity for the region’s most ambitious businesses, from fledging start-ups to established companies, to meet with the people who can give them the money they need to grow.
Last year’s event attracted a wide variety of regional investors, as well as an increasing number of investors from outside of the North East. These included venture fund managers, angel investors, banks, social investment funders and crowdfunding platforms.
North East businesses of any size or sector can apply to be considered to take part – whether they’re an entrepreneur looking for a £1,000 start-up loan or an established business searching for multimillion pound equity funding. To apply, businesses should visit www.financecamp.co.uk and sign up via the link to the Eventbrite page. Spaces are limited so interested businesses are advised to apply now.
FinanceCamp is part of the wider Innovation SuperNetwork programme, delivered with over 50 partner organisations to support innovation in the North East. SuperNetwork is supported by the North East LEP, Innovate UK, Northumbrian Water, Reece Innovation, Engie and the North East BIC, with part-funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
