We welcomed Jenny Forrester into the Innovation SuperNetwork this month. Jenny has taken on the role of Events Manager and will be tasked with delivering the growing programme of events, the first being the upcoming VentureFest 2016 conference at St James’ Park on Tuesday 8th November.
Jenny was previously a freelance events manager, most recently working at Teesside University, organising their week of graduation celebrations. Her career has also included events roles at Durham University, arranging events for the Vice-Chancellor; the Labour Party, regularly organising events in the House of Commons and at the Party Conferences; The Sage Gateshead; and has held the position of Events Officer at NCFE for nine years, producing their annual conference and hospitality programme.
“I’m delighted to have joined the Innovation SuperNetwork and all of the great work they’re doing here in the region. I’m looking forward to working with the partners on delivering some fantastic events to really showcase innovation in the North East.
Events are a great tool for engaging people to learn, network and share good practice. The previous VentureFest conferences have been very well attended, so we’re building on that success and going bigger and better this year. Amongst other exciting initiatives for the day, we’re introducing FinanceCamp, which offers businesses with an innovative product or idea the chance to meet one on one with investors.
