Psychology of Innovation or the ‘F’ Word

This workshop explores the mental health of entrepreneurs and innovators, inspiring delegates to create a culture within organisations that supports innovation but also embraces failure – the ‘F’ Word.

The session will be organised in three parts. The first is a panel debate facilitated by Dr. Vicky Mountford-Brown, Lecturer in Creativity and Entrepreneurship at Newcastle University with support from other industry experts who will refer to specific case studies to bring the content to life.

This will then be followed by two mini-workshops. The first will focus on Understanding Mental Health, led by Emily Person from Our Minds Work. The second will concentrate on the ‘F’ Word and our fear our failure. Led by Dr. Claire Winter from TalkWorks this interactive session will explore Grit, Growth Mindset and Psychological Flexibility before finishing with a giant Jenga activity.
